ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Farihah! I'm a Game Designer at Quell, a studio determined to revolutionise the world of fitness gaming.​

​

Some of my experience includes design ideation, systems, level design, UI/UX prototyping, game loops,  and balancing. I love using sketches to present my ideas.

​​​

I grew up with an older brother who struggled to find someone to share his love of gaming with. I saw this as an opportunity to connect, and fell in love with gaming instantly. I find games as a means of escapism.

  • Dissertation project involved a 3D multiplayer game built in Unity.

  • Developed games for the 2019 and 2020 Global Game Jams.

  • Worked in a multitude of teams as a designer and lead artist.

INTERESTS

  • Drawing

    • Digital and traditional. Sometimes environments, sometimes game characters- always a chill escape.​

  • Painting

    • Love trying out new mediums- next on my list is gouache.​

  • Writing

    • Poems, lore, short stories, worldbuilding!​

  • Video Editing

    • Most recently started capturing footage from multiplayer sessions with friends and making lets plays. Love making videos we can laugh over together.​

  • Gaming​​

    • Some of my favourites include Little Nightmares, Moonlighter, Minecraft and Old School RuneScape. Started making IRL pixel game art as a hobby!​

  • Reading

    • Most recently read All Systems Red (Murderbot Diaries). 

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Received multiple colleague-nominated awards at Quell for culture and work ethic.

  • Co-founded Poltergoose Studios, developing and launching a 3D multiplayer party game prototype.

  • Designed and shipped a fully playable prototype in Unity within 72 hours during Jamfuser 2020, earning positive feedback from industry mentors.
